How to re-engage young people with industrial careers in France?
Worldskills, the series!
Industrial jobs still suffer from a poor perception, with associations to difficult, low-paying, repetitive, and uninteresting work. Young people are hard to reach and recruit, parents are not convinced, and educators are not sufficiently encouraging. The OPCO2I and industrial sectors aim to leverage WorldSkills, the international skills competition often likened to the Olympics of trades, to revalue these professions, show what they are really about, and inspire vocations among 15-23-year-olds. We are supporting OPCO2I in partnership with Imagista to create a web series around the competition, capable of presenting, telling, and deploying video and editorial content about these jobs. This series will run until the international final in Lyon in 2024.

Inspired by a mix of cinematic codes, Netflix, and some of the positive elements of reality TV, we envisioned a design and storytelling approach that brings freshness and innovation to the heart of industrial professions.
