Who are they?
Founded in Montreal in 1869, the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals was the first organization dedicated to animal welfare in Canada.
The SPCA has come a long way since its founding: it is now the largest animal protection organization in Quebec, speaking on behalf of animals wherever ignorance, cruelty, exploitation, or neglect prevail.

The SPCA Montreal believes that animals raised for consumption should be raised in conditions that ensure a minimum level of well-being.
The non-profit organization (NPO) has launched an awareness campaign to convince lawmakers to amend the legislation, which already protects the rights of domestic animals through the Animal Welfare and Safety Act adopted in 2016.

The SPCA reached out to us to push for the Quebec government to implement regulations regarding the well-being of farm animals and encourage the public to sign the manifesto (petition).
We then deployed various influence strategies to raise awareness among the general public about the conditions in which animals destined for consumption are treated.

The goal was also to widely inform the public about the lack of protection for animals raised for consumption in Quebec, while shifting the perception of the SPCA’s role and mission. The SPCA is not just a shelter focused on companion animal issues but is also the leading animal advocacy organization in Quebec, dedicated to the protection of all animals.
