Despite the richness and uniqueness of its heritage, the Livradois-Forez region has remained on the margins of the major tourist flows of the volcanic and thermal Auvergne. After a few flourishing years of vacationing, thermalism (La Soucheyre, Arlanc) at the end of the 19th century, and "climatism," tourism activity remained concentrated along the Vichy – Le Puy axis. A large part of the region's tourism offering is based on local know-how inherited from industrial, agricultural, and artisanal sectors: cutlery, papermaking, and agricultural productions, particularly cheese-making. We were tasked with establishing the governance methods for an attractiveness strategy, positioning, and then creating a brand with both economic and tourist purposes. We conceived its design approach, storytelling, and communication levers before developing the e-tourism system for Livradois.
